Mabry, long-time resi- dent of Arlington Tounty, Va., was the honor guest at a dinner party Thurs- day evening on the Shoreham terrace, given by fellow-workers and friends upon the occasion of her retirement from the General Accounting Office. After dinner dancing was enjoyed by many of the guests, after which the group retired to the lobby, where im- promptu speeches and readings took place. Miss Willa Gallagher gave a dramatic . _and Mrs, Mabry read two original poems dedicated to her and composed by Miss Lora Rob- Mrs. Mabry has served in various accounting agencles of the Govern- ment for 43 years. On July 1, her last day at the office, she was the recipi- ent of many floral offerings and at- tractive gifts. Walten celebrated their forty- first wedding anniversary recently at their new home in Woodside Park, Md., with a house warming and garden party. Much of the evening was spent in the picturesque garden of the home, which, lighted for the party and gay with many Summer flowers, made a charm- ing setting. Music was provided throughout the evening by Leaurence Hendricks, planist, and Glenn Colcord, trombone soloist. In former years Mr. Walton played the trombone in the United States Marine Band.
