EERGENCY RELIEF TOTALS $51.331.731 45 States and D. C. Aided During First Six Weeks of Organization. By the Assoclated Press. As preparations were being completed for a conference here Sunday and Mon- day between State unemployment re- lief officials and State representatives of the United States Employment Serv- ice, it was announced that the new Pederal Emergency Relief Administra- tion during the first six weeks of its existence has distributed $51,531.731 of | Federal funds to 45 States, the District of Columbia and Hawaii for unemploy- ment relief. Harry L. Hopkins, the administrator, announced plans for the conference yesterday and is working out a pro- gram for co-operation between the em: ployment service and the State relief | administrations. Based on State Work. ‘The allotment of the $51,531,731 so far distributed, he said, is based on expenditures of public moneys within the States during January, February and March, the Federal funds being supplied on the basis of one dollar of Federal money for each three dollars of public money from any source spent by the State. Up to June 30 Delaware, New Hamp- shire, Wisconsin, Alaska and Puerto Rico had not received any grants.
