Prices had been steady all day, with scattered advances, but it was not until late in the afternoon that #he buying | gathered any volume. Atchison and Union Pacific made new highs on the recovery, while in lower priced stocks New York Central seemed to be under accumulation. More or less ever, all the rails were strong.
