SENATOR BUCKLEY’S SON TO WED MISS WARNER Daughter of Cambridge, Mass., Cou- rle Is Member of Roosevelt and d’Oremieulx Families. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, June 18—Mr. and Mrs. | Langdon Warner of Cambridge, Mass., have announced to relatives and friends here the engagement of their elder | Bulkley, jr., son of Senator and Mrs. Rebert Johns Bulkley of Cleveland. Miss Warner is a member of the Roosevelt and d’Oremieulx families. His mother was the former Lorraine d'O. Rcosevelt. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. J. West Roosevelt and a niece of Nicholas Roosevelt, United States Min- ister to Hungary. Miss Warner is & member of the Boston Junior League. Bulkley will be graduated this month from the St. George's School for Harvard. Thursday, various discussions are scheduled and officers will be elected. The banquet will be held that evening. The closing day will include a boat trip to Mount Vernon. INDIANA COAL WAGES TO COME UP THURSDAY Executive Board of District 11 Mine Workers Wili Call Re- convened Session. By the Assoclated Press. TERRE HAUTE, Ind., June 18.—The executive board of district 11, United Mine Workers of America, today voted to call & reconvened session here next Thursday of the district convention to consider the proposed $4 dally basic wage foy the Indiana coal field. ‘The scale was recommended by a joint scale sub-committee of the dis- trict and the Indiana Coal Operators’ Association, but the Union members of the full committee refused to sanction the reduction from the $6.10 a day wage which expired March 31. Abe Vales, president of the district, said he had been informed by Harvey Cartwright, secretary of the operators’ assoclation, that unless the Union took definite action on the proposal the operators would throw their mines open to non-union labor on the $4 scale. LEVIATHAN GROUNDED Big Liner Delayed Off Isle of Wight But Escapes Damage. LONDON, June 18 (#).—The United States liner Leviathan spent almost 45 minutes aground off the Isle of Wight today, but got free without suffering any apparent damage.
