Chew Sheriff on two charges of assault and battery and one of reckless driving. Hughes, a jockey, was accused of hit- [ ] ting Thomas Rheem, jr., at “a publie , ’ place of amusement” September 19, and of hitting him again on Rhode Island avenue September 27. On_the latter occasion Rheem accused Hughes of , xeckless driving. Mother Asks Clemency.
