PHILADELPHIA, September 20.—A $2,500,000 order for the construction of ' the chassls and mechanical parts of 60 electric freight locomotives has been announced by the Pennsylvania lufl-i road. i The locomotives will constitute part I of the equipment to be used when the | Pennsylvania completes its electrifica- | tion project between Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore and Washington. i Thirty of the freight engines will be | constructed by the Lima Locomotive Works at Lima, Ohio; twenty by the Westinghouse Electric & Manufactur- | ing Co. at Eddystone, Pa., and ten in| the Pennsylvania Railroad Shops at Al- toona, Pa. Herman Copenhaver, 29, was instant- Iy killed and Roger Leppo, 22 years old, is in the hospital at Hanover, Pa., with shotgun wounds in the breast and arms. His condition was not considered seri- ous, a hospital official said this morning. Irvin Miller, charged with the shoot- ing; Edward Flickinger and 16-year-old Wilmer Erb are in the Carroll County Jail here. Miller and Erb are employes of Flickinger. According to authorities, Copenhaver and Leppo were removing & strawstack which Flickinger had placed in the middle of the road, which borders his land, when he and the other two sud- denly appeared, and Miller, officials | said, with little or no warning, fired. Leppo were removing the obstruction in order to proceed on the road, which he sald was a public thoroughfare.
