Chief Justice and Mrs. Hughes Guests of Virginia Governor. The Chief Justice and Mrs. Charles * Evans Hughes were the honor guests at luncheon today of the Governor of Virginia, Mr. John Garland Pollard, who entertained at the Governor's mansion in Richmond. The Chief Justice and Mrs. Hughes motored to the Vi capital this morning to attend the dedi- cation of a bust of James Madison in the State capitol rotunda. The Chief Justice will make the principal address at the ceremony, which takes place early this afterncon. Tonight Mr. Hughes will attend the banquet of the Virginia Clate Bar Asso- ciation which will be given jointly with the Richmond Bar Association. While the Chief Justice is attending the event, which is to be a stag affair, Mrs. Hughes will dine at the Governor's mansion, ‘They will return to Washington after the banquet. Senator Warren R. Austin of Ver- mont is making a short visit in Wash- ington at the Mayflower, where he and Mrs. Austin will make their home upon their .arrival here in December.
