RUM CASES LEAD IN FAIRFAX COURT M;n Pleads Guilty to Charge of Attempted Murder., Epecial Dispatch to The Star. PAIRFAX, Va., September 24.—R. V. Harrls, indicted in the Fairfax County Circuit Court on a charge of attempt to ‘commit murder, yesterday pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve one year in the State Penitentiary. Harry (alias Dink) Davies pleaded guilty to a violation of the prohibition law and was fined $50, costs and one month in jail, suspended. He was also required to give a $300 bond not to violate the prohibition law. George A. Tucker, charged with vio- lating the prohibition law, was found not guilty. F. $905.18. Price Fixed for Land. The commissioners appointed to view land taken the Virginia Gas Trans- mission Co., D. Graham, D. M. Woodward and John D. Garrett, to- gether with John M. Whalen, guardian ad litem for the infant land owners, rted that in their opinion the land taken was worth $23 and that adjacent land damages amounted to $27. ‘The money was ordered paid equally to the three heirs. A case against the Virginia Public Service Co. charging use of nnpro?n tags on one of its machines, appealed from Judge Moling of Falls Church, was dism . ‘The warrant charged use of a passenger car with passenger itags as a truck to carry meters and i small supplies.
