'The realization of a boyhood vision is Yepresented by a painting of the Ma- | donna and Child recently brought to Washington by Mrs. B. S. Willlams of XKnoxville, Tenn, to be displayed the rest of the week in the window of a tea room at Thirteenth and H streets. According to Mrs. Williams, Frank 83. McCrary visualized the painting in its present form when he was a boy living in a remote part of Tennessee. McCrary determined that the vision shou'd some day be converted into an actuality. He went to New York to study photography and returned to Knoxville, where he established a studio and set about col- lesting features whi¢h he thought would b2 appropriate to a likeness of the Ma- onna. McCrary met 2 pastel painter named Bryson in Chicago and interested him in the endeavor. Bryson studied the collec- tion of features and from it fashioned the painting now on exhibition. Mrs. Williams says the painting was pur- chased by her family from the Mec- Crary family. She hopes to have it displayed in many large cities through- out the country. #iR TRANSPORT PLANES MAKE MILEAGE RECORD Distance Covered in April Totals 3,412,504 Miles, According to 36 Ccmpanies.
