U. 5. CLERK UNION CONVENTION SET National Federation to Meet at Seattle Beginning September 30. The National Federation of Federal ®mployes is formulating plans for its biennial convention in Seattle begin- ning September 30 and has invited the 11 Washington unions to send delegates and alternates. A number of questions of importance to the Federal employe will be consid- ered. Among these questions listed by the notifications sent the unions ‘will be the following: Enactment of legislation providing needed salary increases with a min- imum compensation of $1,500 per an- num for every adult Federal employe working full time. Adequate appropriations for personal wervice equitably ited on the basis of a sound classification for both departmental and fleld services. Stated promotion intervals. Extension of the merit BUDAPEST-VIENNA BUS ROUTE TO OPEN MAY 23 Fare Will Be Less Than Third- Class Rate by Train, With Journey Requiring 6 Hours. BUDAPEST, (N.A.N.A.).—The first long-distance bus route in Central Eu- rope will open on May 23 with a service between Budapest and Vienna. Busses are to run twice a day from each cap- ital.
