WIFE ASKS DIVORCE Charging Harold E. McCarthy, an ex-service man, with cruelty, addiction to drink and misconduct, Mrs. Mar- guerite McCarthy, 521 Fifth street southeast, yesterday petitioned the Dis- trict Supreme Court to award her an absolute divorce, According to the wife's bill, the Mc- Carthys were married in Baltimore, March 1, 1917, and have twin boys. On May 2, 1927, the court is told, Mrs. McCarthy was compelled to leave her husband on account of allegedly cruel treatment. The wife says McCarthy has admitted associating with other women and declares her husband has spent a great deal of time in various hospitals recovering from the. effects ot drinking.
