PASTOR 10 YEARS IN CALVARY PULPIT Dr. Abernethy’s Anniversary to Be Marked by Pro- gram Thursday. The tenth anniversary of Dr. W. 8. Abernethy as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church will be observed Thursday eve- ning with Dr. Gove G. Johnson, pastor of the National Baptist Memorial: Rab- bi Abram Simon of the Washington Hebrew Congregation, and Dr. Joseph R. 8izcA pastor of the New York Ave- nue Presbyterian Church, as speakers. A reception in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Abernethy will be held Priday evening in Woodward Hall. The celebration will continue through the services on May 3 with Dr. A. W. Beaven of Rochester, N. Y., preaching at 11 o'clock and the various church organizations depicting 10 years of service at the 8 o'clock service. Dr. J. C. Carlile of London, England, will preech tomorrow morning and Dr. Abernethy at the 8 p.m. service. His topic is “Where Do We Go From Here?"” The junior church service will be held at 11 o'clock in Baker Hall. Rev. Homer J. Councilor, minister.
