Btudents of theology at the Augus- | tinian College now are quartered in a * new college building, which was recently completed at a cost of $400,000, in the 3900 block of Harewood road northeast, forming & major step in the building- development program of Catholic Uni- versity of America affiliations in Brook- land, D. C. Exhibiting the massive stone con- struction and_the round arches, char- acteristically Romanesque in style, the new college building has been erected in two units, the first of which rests or | the crest of a low hill and is two stories in height. The second unit, which is four stories high, has been built to the rear of the first, extending down the slope to the westward. Overlooking Harewood road is the two-story building. faced with rustic- buff limestone, with green slate rcof. This building has a frontage of ap- proximately 140 feet, with a depth of 45 feet. On the first floor it contains reception rocms and four lnrs: Tooms for studies. Special attention has been devoted to lighting conditions in these rooms A chapel, cruciform in plan; is lo- cated on the second floor. Students’ stalls are located on either side of the body of the church, which is in the form of a choir. The spaclous sanc- tuary of the chapel is fitted with elab- orate marble altars.
