CHICAGO, December 30.—A jury of . Mrs. Viola Miller was ordered held to the grand jury yesterday for man- slaughter by a coroner’s ju y of six women who investigated the death last Saturday of George Gleichaus, her cousin and suitor. Gleichaus was shot to death. "The announcement of the verdict ap- parently came as a shock to woman relatives and friends of Mrs. Miller. They burst into tears. Mrs. Miller, however, appeared to be more self- than any of her partisans. She maintained she did not know the weapon was loaded. “I thought it was like one he threat- ened me with once be!ore that didn't have any bullets in it,” she said. ‘The women's jury was the second to serve here since adoption in November of a referendum to permit them to act as jurors.
