CHICAGO, December 12.—A mad- dened mob, which included parents of the Victlm!; threatened to lynch an autoist whose machine plowed into a group of school children, killing two and injuring five, in suburban Bellwood last night. Police rescued the car driver, F. A. Beukema of Chicago, as he was lifting the bodies into his car, and lodged him in the jail at Maywood for his protec- tion. Beukema said he had not seen the children, who were returning from a band rehearsal.
