President and Mrs. Hoover entertained at a dinner at the ‘White House for Prince Tokuga- wa of Japan. The table in the Btate dining room was rich in its color- ing of Lillan Doty chrysanthemums, Columbia roses and Maidenhair fern. Besides Prince Tokugawa the company included the Ambassador of Japay, Mr. Katsuji Debuchi; the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Andrew W. Mellon; the Secretary of the Navy and Mrs. Adams, Senator and Mrs. Claude A. Swanson, Senator and Mrs. David A. Reed, Admr. and Mrs. William V. Pratt, Assistant Secretary of State and Mrs. William R Castle, jr.; M. and Mme. Kensuke Horinouchi, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prather Fletcher of New York, Mr. John Hays Hammond, Mabel Boardman and Mr. Allan Hoover. Austrian Minister and sMme. Prochnik Hosts at Dinner to Dr. Schmid. ‘The Minister of Austria and Mme, Prochnik were hosts to a small wmpmy at dinner last evening, entertaining in formally in compliment to Dr. Sch.mld counselor of the Austrian legation in Paris. Dr. Schmid is making a short stay in Washington, and is the guest of the counselor of the legation and Baroness Hauenschild. The Minister of Siam, Maj. Gen. Prince Amoradat Kridakara, will be host to & company of 32 at dinner this evening at the Mayflower, in celebration of the birthday anniversary of the King of Siam.
