October 10.—Traffic police of Fairfax County have made several arrests for intoxication and | reckless driving in the t few days. D. E. Baifey of Alexandria and George Sutphin of Fairfax, are both held for the November grand jury on charges of driving while intoxicated. Bailey ‘was arrested on Snake Hill on the Rich- mond Highway by Officer L. L. Finks and given a hearing before Justice A. D. Kirby at Groveton. Sutphin was arrested on the Earl road in Fairfax by Officer A. W. Mills and arraigned before Justice Chapman. He is out on $500 bonds. H. H. Cockerell of Alexandria was arrested on Snake Hill by Officer Finks and fined $10 and costs by Justice Kirby on a charge of being under the influ- ence of liquor. Howard E. Erdman of Baltimore, Md., ‘was arrested by Capt. Heywood Dutrer near Woodlawn ‘and fined $10 and costs | by Justice Shepherd of Accotink for reckless driving and passing on curves. R. 8. Morris Berwyn, Md., was fined 810 and costs by Justice J. T. Moling of Falls Church on a charge of reckless driving between Fairfax and Falls Church, made by Officer Mills. Neal D.
