By the Associated Press. | FOWLER, Colo., October 3.—A tor- nado twisted its way across parts of two Southern Colorado counties, killing three persons. injuring four more and causing unestimated property damage. The dead: George W. Lackey, promi- nent Fowler cattleman, whose feeding operations centered 14 miles north of here in the middle of the stricken area: Mrs. John P. Downing, ranchwoman, living 24 miles north of Fowler, and Col- lie Noble, Manzanola, Colo., rancher. Wind Wrecks Refuge. Lackey was killed instantly and the other two injured fatally when the tor- nado struck the building on the Beaty ranch, in which had taken reéfuge from the storm. Henry Bushaw, a ranch hand, and Mrs. Downing's daugh- ter-in-law, Mrs. John B. Downing, her 32-months-old daughter were also in the ntructurelv;han it collapsed, but serious_injury. m"fl. C. R.
