KENTUCKY LAWYER HAS ZUTA'S WILL Refuses to Release Contents, Saying It Would “Injure Our Case.” By the Assoclated Press. MIDDLESBORO, Ky, August 28— The will of Jack Zuta, slain Chicago racketeer, is in the possession of Arthur H. Rhorer, attorney for Col. Tke Gins- burg, Zuta's cousin. But its contents will not be divulged “until the proper time,” Rhorer said today. Rhorer, former city prosecutor of Middlesboro, sald that to release its contents would “injure our case.” Col. Ginsburg is claiming the estate. He recently returned from a trip to Chi- eago in cohnection with settlement of the property. A Tepresentative of a Chicago news- paper was denied permission to take & Photostatic copy of the will, though fl. offered “a large sum of money,” Rhorer said. Col. Ginsburg favored ac- eeptance of the offer, the attorney said, but he dissuaded him. Rhorer said he was certain the will would be contested, but would not say by whom. Both Rhorer and Ginsburg denied statements published in a copyrighted srticle in the Chicago Dally News that Mayor Willlam Hale Thompson of Chi- cago visited Middlesboro in 1927 in Zuta's company. The Chicago news- r said that Middlesboro Iriend.! of guu had said that the gangster raised $50,000 for Thompson's election cam- that vear. Zuta lived In Middlesboro for several until he went to Chicago in 1914. e came here from Russia. Funeral service and burial of the gangster were conducted here after he was shot to death in Delafield, Wis. Col. Ginsburg claimed the body and arranged the funeral.
