NEW YORK, April 14.—The test of the copper metal market— that is, whether the price can be held at 18 cents—will come within the next 60 days, and perhaps earlier. Statistically, the position of the metal is somewhat better than it was a month ago, but the strain of small profis, which has continued for nearly four months, is beginning to affect producers when considering their current _dividends. This, naturally, is reflected in the price of copper stocks.
