Giuseppe de Luca, celebrated Metro- politan Opera Co. baritone, returns to absence as the guest soloist in the Gen- eral Motors’ “Family Party,” to be broadcast by WRC and a network of other National Broadcasting Co. sta- tions. De Luca will contribute a group of Italian songs, six of which he has never before sung over the air. In addition he will sing “Lafgo Al Factotum,” from Rossini's “The Barber of Seville,” in the title role of which he has fre- quently appeared at the Metropolitan and other world-famous opera houses. Choice bits from the pens of master composers will be offered by the A. & P. Gypsies, whose weekly concert WRC has scheduled from 8: 30 to 9:30 o'clock. These include Tschalkowsky's “Waltz Cavalleria Rusticana” an Stone’s “Dance of the Giddy Girls.” ‘The Gypsy Quartet will supplement the orchestral program with a medley of the hmt song hits and “Mighty Lak’ a Rose.” Features Berlin's Latest. In the Volee of Firestone presenta- tion Vaughn De Leath, contralto, will sing Irvlng Berlin's latest song, “With You,” in addition to several other popu- lar numbers. Pranklyn Baur, tenor, also will sinv several popular numbers, while the orchestral portion of the pro- gram features the “Dance of the Come- dians,” from “The Bartered Bride,” and the “Gondolier,” from Nevin's “A Day in Venice.” The Whittall Anglo-Persians will take another colorful musical journey to va- rious parts of the world.
