D. C., THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1929 FRANK LIBBEY, 82, DIES I ILLNESS Man Long Active in Business and Club Circles Here Succumbs. Frank Libbey, proprietor of Frank Libbey & Co., lumber firm, and long active in business and club circles in this city, died at his home, 1844 Co- lumbia road, yesterday after a short ill- ness. He was 82 years old. The lumber firm was organized by Mr. Libbey's father, the late Joseph Libbey, in 1824. Mr. Libbey was born in Georgetown and was graduated from Yale Univer- sity in 1867, where he was a member of the Gamma Nu and D. K. E. Frater- nities and the Skull and Bones Society. He returned to this city and entered the lumber business with his father. Funeral services will be conducted in Oak Hill chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. — William Padgett, 84, Dead. ‘William Padgett, 84 years old, who served as night watchman along the river front and lived at Gregory's boat- house, foot of Sixth street southwest, died suddenly last night about 8:30 o'clock. He was found unconscious on the porch, of the boathouse and died before Dr. John M. Baber, member of Emergency Hospital staff, reached him. Coroner J.
