From this the State received a revenue of approx- imately $32,500. Cotton. FORT WORTH.—Cotton ficlds in scattered areas of Northwest Texas are being abandoned because of the con- tinued drought. Rain has not fallen in some of these sections since May 15. ‘The cotton came up, but the plant has withered. It would not produce now even with bountiful moisture.
