HE President and Mrs. Hoover entertained at dinner in the State dining room at the White House last evening for the mem- bers of the Federal Farm rd, having with them also the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. Arthur M. Hyde, and others. Farm Board members present were Mr. James M. Stone of Kentucky, Mr. Alexander H. Legge of Illinois, Mr. C. 8. Teague of California, Mr. W. F. Schilling of Minnesota, Mr. Charles 8. Wilson of New York, Mr, Carl Williams of Oklahoma, and Mr. C. E. Denman ©of Missourl. Others in the company were Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland A. Newton of St. Louls, Mo.; Mrs. Arthur McArthur and three e sons, Bowman, Douglas and Malcolm; ‘Miss Anne Randolph and Miss Mary Randolph, Mr. Herbert Hoover, jr., and Mr. Alan Hoover. Former Representative and Mrs. Cleveland A. Newton of Missourl are guests of the President and Mrs. Hoover. Mr. Herbert Hoover, jr., accompanted the President to Baltimore yesterday where they reviewed the Rainbow Division. The Secretary of War, Mr. James W. Good, has returned to Washington after passing the week end with Mrs. Good at Manchester, Mass. ‘The Minister of Panama and Fenora de Alfaro, and their family will arrive in Washington this afternoon from ‘Eaglesmere, Pa., where they have been for about a fortnight. The Minister and Senora de Alfaro are planning spending some time at a resort in Maine. ‘The Minister of Greece and Mme. Simopoulcs entertained at dinner last | evening at Newport, where they are spending the Summer. The Persian Minister, Mirza Davoud Kahn Meftah, entertained at dinner last evening at the Plage Deauville 2t the Wardman Park Hotel. The Minister of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, Dr. Leonide Pitamic, has re- straw, slippers of green and carried a am boulq,g:t. of pink roses and bl delphinium. Capt. C. H. Brown, U. 8. M. C, was the best man. At the reception and breakfast which followed the ceremony Lieut. and Mrs. Krauthoff were assisted by the parents of the bride and Mrs. Meredith, mother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Jullien wore F.|a gown of orchid chiffon and Mrs. Meredith was in peach-color chiffon. Both wore corsage bouquets of orchids and lilles of the valley. Lieut. Krauthoff and his bride left later for a wedding trip, Mrs. Krauthoff wearing a dark blue and white silk en- semble, with a small blue and white it other accessories to match. ‘They will be at home at Fort Sill, Okla. C. ‘The bride, & debutante of two seasons ago, is the daughter of widely known architect of this city, Mr. Philip Morrison Jullien. Her paternal grandfather was the late Louis Honore Jullien of Charleston, 8. C., a jourralist of French ancestry, whose family have been residents of the District of Columbia for many years. On her mother's side she is_the granddaughter of the late Erasmus Fen- ner Page of Raleigh, N. C., who was of the Hanover branch of the Page family of Virginia, and she is the great-great- great-granddaughter of Andrew Turner, Illeutenant colonel of the historic “Mary- land line” in the Revolution, who also n;rved with distinction in the War of turned from the Midwest where he|;s;o spent several weeks. Davilla, will entertain at luncheon tomorrow for his distinguished countryman. Charming Morning Wedding ©Of Local Society Girl. Military ceremony prevailed at the wedding this morning of Miss Mary Page Jullien, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. | Phillp Morrison Jullien, to Lieut. Sam- uel Vance Krauthoff, U. S. A, son of Mrs. John Cushing Meredith of Kansas City, Mo. The ceremony was per- formed at 2400 Sixteenth street, where Mr. and Mrs. Jullien make their home, ‘at 11:30 o'clock, the Rev. John Calla- han of Gaithersburg, Md., officiating. The decorations were unusually ef- fective, being tall standards filled with gladioli, pink roses and blue delphinium, which were placed on either side of & screen of tall palms and ferns. The wedding couple stood under a bcwer of smilax and ferns, where in evidence ‘was the red flag of the Field Artillery, the bridegroom’s branch of service, crossed with the Stars and Stripes. Adding more color to the scene were many large American flags placed about the ballroom. An orchestra of string instruments played softly during the ceremony and for the reception which followed. ‘The bride entered the ballroom with her father, who gave her in marriage. . Her wedding gown was lovely, fash- te satin on long fitted lines. The bodice was made with long sleeves, which Went into points over the wrist and the neckline was V at the front and higher in the back. The skirt was cut in uneven hemline fashion, with pointed drapes at the sides falling long and giving the effect of short trains. Her tulle vell was arranged simply about her face and ‘held with a tiny cluster of orange blos- soms at each side. She carried a shower bouquet of bride Toses and lilies of the vyalley. Miss Helen Clifford was the maid of honor, wearing a frock of green «chiffon, fashioned with a cape collar, and the skirt in eight soft folds of the chiffon.
