After nearly a week's stay at the‘ fourist camp in Potomac Park, during' which approximately 166 college boys and girls have been sightseeing in the | National Capital, the “college on| wheels,” which is g _the country under the auspices of Southwestern College, will leave tomorrow for An- napolis and the United States Naval Academy. Another section of the omnibus col- lege will reach Washington on July 31. “Education on a practical basis” is the slogan of the expedition, which was established by Southwestern College in 1922. Since then hundreds of college students have acquired college credits through the annual educational tours.” Tour Covers 25 States. The first section of the omnibus col- lege pulled into the tourist camp last Wednesday from Frederick, Md. The “college” is under the direction of Dr. Willlam M. Goldsmith, head of the bi: Canadian provinces. The caravan carrying the party is made up of six busses, one of the larg- est fleld cafeterias on the highways, a baggage car and the director’s car. The campus of the omnibus college is the largest in the world, except that of the world-touring universities afioat. It has a circumference of about 6,000 miles, the distance to be made on the tour. The cafe- teria bus is equipped with refrigerator, ovens and every luncheon convenience. ‘Their last day in Washington will be devoted to trips to Washington Cathe- dral, the Franciscan Monastery and its catacombs. Members .of the caravan may attend church services as they please. From Annapolis, the college on wheels will go to Baltimore and then return to Washington for the night.
