The Feminine Hundred Club is a tticoat version of the long famous \mmd Club, which includes France's most famous lovers of good French cookery and which excludes women. The woman gourmet's club is no prohibitionist organisation. Nor is its Ammun president, Mrs. Paul Ettlinger, a dry. Red and white wine were served at the initial club lunch. Wine will be served &t the discretion of the hostesses at lunches to follow, Mrs. Ettlifiger an- nounces. Lunches are to be at members’ homes. ‘They are limited to $1.80 the plate, in- cluding wines. THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH UNION ISURGED IN ASSEMBLY REPORT Reformed Synod Included, With Continued Consideration of Methodist Episcopal Merger Also Recommended. By the Associated Press. 8T. PAUL, May 24.—Negotiation with other Presbyterian Church bodies and the Reformed Church Synod toward union with the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America was rec- ommended in a report made public to- day at the latter's idlst General As- sembly. ‘The ‘assembly’s department on church t‘o—op!rlflnn and unjon urged in the report that “there be a complete union with all the bodies on the Reformed faith and Presbyterian order.” Groups mentioned by the department to whom it proposes overtures be made include the United Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church, in the United States, often called the South Church, in addition to the Reformed Church Synod, which is best known as the Dutch Reformed Church. Continued consideration of a proposal for a union with the Methodist Episco- pal- Church also was urged. Definite action on this proposal, made at various times, long has been pending, but is not expected to be taken at this assembly in view of the fact that the next Metho- dist General Conference is to be held three years hence.
