Be the Associated Press The Federal Oil Conservation Board and officials of the American Petroleum Institute held an informal meeting fo- day to discuss the possibility of solving the problem of waste and overproduc- tion in the oil industry by means of an interstate compact limiting drilling. but it was announced later that no con- clusions had been drawn and no de- I cisions reached. Secretary Wilbur sald that the meet- ing had been called to discuss phases of the proposed interstate compact which he hopes will grow out of a meeting of the governors of Western ofl-producing States to be held at Colorado Springs June 10. Mr. Wilbur declared the meeting at Colorado Springs would be an effort to bring together the legislative groups of the affected States to receive and dis- cuss suggestions and plans of practical oil operators to see if there was a so- lution of overproduction in an inter- state compact Among those attending the meeting were Secretaries Adams. Good and Lamont, E. B. Reeser, president of the Petroleum Institute. and R. C. Holmes chairman of the general committtee of the Petroleum Institute for the Con- servation of Ofl, and other leaders of the oil industry. DR.
