There was one of the Ducklings of Beauty the Wood Duck who was head- strong. In a large family there are sure to be one or two who are head- strong. . This Duckling was smart. He looked about hastily with those bright little eyes of his. His mother and his brothers and sisters were intent on where they were going. None were looking at him. He dodged in among some lilypads. The wind had biown one of these so that it had half turned over. The Duckling hid behind it. Then he chuckled. The fishing industry of Canada is one of very great importance and the catch of last year is equal if not greater than ever before and in a measure is at- tributed to the “rapid freezing” proc- ess which has been worked out by the | biological board of the Canadian gov- | ernment. Word comes from Toronto | that receipts from the Maritimes of fish frozen by the new refrigeration method are unable to cope with local demand. Larger shipments have been ordered and a greatly increased trade from the Maritimes is expected.
