LITTLE THEATER—"Loves of Casanova.” “Loves of Casanova,” a French Cine- roman film of the romantic episodes in the life of Giacomo Cesanova in eight- eenth century Europe. will be shown for the first time at the Little Theater next week, starting Saturday of this week. The title role is played by Ivan Mos- Joukine, a matinee idol of French movie palaces, who was the star of “Michael Strogofl.” afterward playing opposite Mary Philbin in “Surrender.” The picture doasts some of the most beautiful scenic effects, with the use of hand-tinted film made by the women and children of France. These effects for the most part are taken of costumes and natural settings. One of the out- standing _features of the unusual at- traction Is the method of conveying thoughts and ideas to the minds of the audience. This Is handled by a foreign studio in a vastly different manner than that employed by our own Hollywood. “Loves of Casanova” was taken from the stage play by Alexander Volkoff, who also directed the film, and may be described as a sophisticated romance with one hero and many heroines—all selected for their attractiveness. Besides Mosjoukine, the cast includes Diana Kerenne, Susan Bianchetti, Jenny Jugo, Rina de Liguoro and Rudolph Klein- Rogge. The doings of the New York Stock Ex- change and a Max Davidson comedy complete the program.
