These States are: New York, New Jersey, California and Ohio. In Wisconsin the law permits a commis- sioner 1o require an examination, but it may be oral. Revisions in the license laws of Oregon to make the law more stringent are now before the Legislature of that Proposed amendments to the Illinols real estate license laws, indorsed by the Illinois Association of Real Estate Boards, have been introduced into the State Senate, where they are now pend- ing, and are due to have an early hear- ing. The purpose of the amendments is to require examination of real estate brokers as a prerequisite to license. ‘The proposed bill for a real estate license law in Arkansas has been in- troduced into the Legislature and re- ferred to the Senate judiciary commit- tee. Realtors there are optimistic as to its passage. New Hampshire realtors are likewise hopeful of securing the passage | of a license law which is being intro- | duced into the Legislature through the efforts of New Hampshire real estate | boards. March 20 has been set as the date for a sales convention in Washington un- der auspices of the National Associa- tion of Real Estate Boards, Ben T. ‘Webster, president of the local real estate board, announced today. This is a new service offered member boards throughout the country by the parent organization and has been con- ducted for the last two months in east- ern cities. Mr. Webster described th series of meetings as a “sales clinic, at which the subject of salesmanship as applied to real estate was given ex- clusive attention throughout the series of meetings. ‘The plan contemplates a day and night session, which will be conducted by the Ell & Kay Building & Investment Co. from plans by Louis T.
