STORE The Modern Tuxedo Tailored by Hart Schaffner & Marx 550 The lines of the tuxedo we have devised for your gayer hours are light and trim and graceful. The plane of the shoulders, broad and square, is emphasized by the slightly accented waist-line and the snugly fitted lower portion of the coat. - There is no padding or exaggeration. The effect of muscular slenderness is gained solely by the happy collaboration of tailor and designer. On many of the coats, the lapels are faced with silk gros- grain in the dull finish which a goodly number of our townsmen seem to prefer. We are happy to be able to offer, at'so moderate a sum as $50, a tuxedo which reflects the true spirit of this modern age. Judge Changes Sentence When Man’s Sister Offers to Pay $10. Declaring it an injustice for a hard- working sister to pay an intoxication fine for her brother, Judge Robert E. Mattingly, sitting in the District branch of Police Court, today changed the sen- tence against Bartholomew J. Shea, a plumber, from $10 to $100 or 180 days suspended. Shea was arrested early this morning on Sixth street southeast by Policeman G. L. Norris. He pleaded guilty to in- toxication and was fined $10. A mo- ment later an elderly woman, who said she was his sister, rose from the spec- tators and offered to pay his fine, ‘When the woman said she worked for her own living Judge Mattingly de- clared he was unwilling to permit her to spend her money for such a cause. Recalling the priosner, the court told him he should go to jail, but as his sis- ter was so anxious to have him freed gave him the benefit of a suspended ntence LOST.
