NEW YORK, December 4 (#).—Col. Charles A. Lindbergh, chairman of the technical committee of the Transcon- tinental Air Transport Co., has chosen Columbus, Ohio, Wichita, Kans., and Clovis, N. Mex., as transfer stations on the air-mail line the company proposes to put into operation next Spring, it was announced yesterday. It is planned to make connections at these points between tri-motored planes and fast trains of the Pennsylvania and Santa Fe Railroads. SHIP LINES JOIN PARLEY. Intercoastal Conference Reports Addition of Two Members, NEW YORK, December 4 (#).—R. C. ‘Thackara, chairman of the United States Intercoastal Conference, an- nounced yesterday that the Panama Mail Steamship Line has joined the conference as a pooling member and the Argonaut Steamship Line as a non- pooling member. Each line, he said, was a “class B rate.” The new agree- ment is effective January 1. Mr. Thackara said the addition of these two lines placed the conference in a stronger position, leaving only three outside the conference. It was said that these, the Isthmian, the Pan- ama-Pacific and the Calmar, have given assurance that they will observe conference rules and regulations.
