Mr. Butler is a retired reporter of the United States Supreme Court and is engaged in the practice_of law here. Mrs. Butler was the eldest daughter of the late Ethan Flagg, one of the pioneer citizens of Yonkers, N. Y., and of Julia Baldwin Flagg, dau hter of Anson Baldwin of the same place. Mr. and Mrs. Butler were married in Yonkers in November, 1882. 8he is survived by her husband, two sisters, Miss Janet W. Flagg and Mrs. John Maynard Harlan, and by her four children, Mrs. Edward C. Heald of Yonkers, Dr. Ethan Flagg Butler of Sayre, Pa, secretary of the American Society of Thorasic Surgery; Charles Mmmll Butler of South Pasadena.
