BAUM IS CLAIMED BY DEATH Mrs. Margaret Carter Baum, for many years a resident of this city, active in the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, died at her residence Perry & Walsh Morticians Private Ambulances 29 H St. N.W. Main 984 1004 B street southwest, Monday nigh! after a long illness. Mrs. Baum was the daughter of thr late Capt. H. E. Carter of the Con- federate Army, and Mrs. Ann Golder Carter. She came to this city in 1880 following the death of her father. Unti' her marriage she resided at the hom of her uncle, the late R. A. Golden. Mrs. Baum was a life member of Ry- land Methodis Episcopal urch, was a former vice president of the W. C. T. U. of Southwest Washington and a mem- ber of the Robert E. Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. | She also was a member of the Daugh- ters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her mother, and son, W. Carter Baum, local attorney. Funeral setvices will be conducted in the Ryland Methodist Episcopal Church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Edward Lowell Wilson, 43 years, old, for the past 10 years manager of the Government department of Crane Co., dealers in mechanical equipment for Federal buildings, died at his residence, 4701 Connecticut avenue, last night after a short illness. Mr, Wilson had been connected with the Crane Co. for the past 18 years and had been a resident of this city since 1906. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Tech- nology. He was a member of the Massa- chusetts “Tech” Luncheon Club, the University Club and the Washington Golf and Country Club. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Pattie M. Wilson; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Wilson of Water- town, Mass., and two sisters.
