COLUMBUE, Ohio, November 7.— Herbert Hoover mot only swept Ohio by a majority that may exceed that ever before given a presidential candi- date, but he apparently has taken into office with him an entire Republican State ticket and two United States Senators. Eight Republican Representatives had been elected by apparently safe majorities. They were Speaker Nicholas Longworth, in the first Cincinnati dis- trict: Representative Charles Brand, seventh; Representative Thomas A. Jenkins, tenth; Representa@ve John C. Speaks, twelfth; J. E. Baird, thirteenth; Representative C. Ellis Moore, fifteenth; Representative Frank Murphy, eight- eenth, and Representative John G. Cooper, nineteenth district. The Democrats stand a chance of losing two of their present six Repre- sentatives and possibly more. In the eighth district Brooks Fletcher of Marion was trailing Grant Mauser, jr., of Marion, and in the sixteenth dis- trict John McSweeney, Wooster, was trailing his Republican opponent, C. B. McLintock. Francis Seiberling of Akron was leading A. F. O'Neill, Akron, in the fourteenth district. This district now is represented by Representative Martin L. Davey, who was defeated for gov- ernor. In the eleventh Representative Mel G. Underwood of New Lexington was in a close race with former Repre- sentative Edwin D. Rickets, Republi- can, of Logan. Two districts, the fourth and sixth, | now represented by Republicans, also were apparently in doubt. In the} fourth, former Representative John L.| Cable of Lima was leading Judge Wil-| liam Klinger, Lima, while in the sixth, George D. Nye of Waverly was leading Clermont County. Representative Roy G. Fitzgerald of Dayton apparently won over Frank L. Above, left to, right: Theodore E.
