MORE POLICE BRIBE ARRESTS EXPECTED Philadelphia District Attorney | Says New Bank Accounts Have Been Found. By the Associated Press. PHILADELPHIA, October 19.—Dis- trict Attorney Monoghan, who is con- ducting a grand jury investigation of bootleggers, gang murders and police bribery, said today that additional ar- rests probably would be made shortly. “We have chanced upon several more fair-sized bank accounts in the names of police captains,” sald the prosecutor, “and feel a little explaining will have to be prompted from them. ‘A police captain has actually come to me to present me with $1,500 which he admitted he had collected as graft This captain said as he turned the money over to me, ‘Mr. Monoghan, here is $1.500, and that is all the graft I ever took.' ™ The district attorney did not di close the name of the captain who gave him the money. Six district command- ers were questioned by the grand jury ‘They were James L. Taylor, James Mulgrew, George Wright and John T. Duffey. After Ellison left the grand jury room he was under examination |in ‘the prosecutor's office for several | hours.
