PARIS, February 8—The arrival of Condescu from Bucharest and his ng straight to the home of former Crown Prince Carol of Rumania has created quite a stir here. Some see him as playing the role that Gen. Monk played to the Stuarts in the restoration of the monarchy. Carol, becoming an- noyed at renewed publicity being given him. has now taken refuge in a villa in the eastren environs of Paris and | hopes to have a little more privacy than at Neuilly. The Paris Herald says it is generally believed that Gen. Condescu’s visit is not political. The general is manager of Carol's financial interests in Ru- mania and the paper says he has come to get the former prince's signature to important business papers.
