Y. PEYTON MARSHALL DIES IN LYNCHBURG Great-Grandson of Chief Justice Was Prominent in Business and Church. Special Dispatch to The Star. LYNCHBURG, Va., December 7.— 60 years of age, for many years prominent in the wholesale business here, died Sunday am., course. night at his home. Death resulted from an attack of angina pectoris after an illness of an hotir. Mr. Mar- shall appeaged to be in his usual health when he retired for the night. He was a native of Markham, Va., but came here 45 years ago and was vice president of the Quinn-Marshall Co., wholesale dealers in dry goods and notions. Mr. Marshall had for a number of vears been a vestryman of St. Paul's Lpiscopal Chur having been elected for another year last Wednes- day. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. He was a great-grand- son of Chief Justice John Marshall, hoth his mother and father having been descendants of that famous jurist. M Marshall is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nina Holt Marshall, whom he married 27 years ago and who was at the Virginia Baptist Hos- pital recovering from an operation for appendicitis when her husbhand died; three daughters, Misses Nina, Jaquelin and Katherine, and these brothers and sisters: Randolph Mar- shall of this city, Mrs. William Smith and Miss Mildred Marshall of Mark- ham, —— PASTOR ACCEPTS CALL.
