By the Associated Press. OKLAHOMA CITY, December T.— Oklahoma's self-convened Legislature today remained firm In its plan to in- vestigate the governor’'s office, with the Senate determined to decide whether such an assembly has authority to institute impeachment proceedings. Faced with a State Supreme Court decree that legislators have mno in- herent right to call a session, the House and Senate yesterday perfected their organizations. Representative E. P. Hill announced that charges would be read today against several State departments. Senate Adjourns Afiter Vote, The Senate, after voting, 22 to 8, to resolve itself into a court of im peachment, adjourned subject to the call of Senator Mac Q. Willlamson pnqdpnt pro tem. The Senate thus designated itself as the court to decide whether the House of Representatives has the right to meet. Senate leaders said this decision would be made when the House eharges are placed before the Senate. Meanwhile Gov. Henry §. Johnston declined to entertain a committee of representatives sent to inform him the Legislature was in session. Welcomed As Citizens. “First of all, your Legislature is not in eeukm " the governor told the | committes. “Yet I want to show you every courtesy.” Gov. Johnston then handed the com- mittee chairman a statement welcom- ing them as citizens. A similar condition prevailed four years ago, when Gov. J. C. Walton refused a demand for a special session, but finally agreed and was impeached. Gov. Walton called out the National Guard to bar the Legislators from the capitol. ATLANTA, Ga., December 7.—An ear fashioned from cartilage from g the ribs and covered with skin from the abdomen, is being grafted to the head of a 19-year-old girl at | Grady Hospital here to replace one | removed because of severe burns. The girl, Miss Edna Barnett, suf- fered severe burns about her head | and neck several weeks ago when she fainted and fell into an open fireplace.
