Mount, 49 years old, principal clerk in charge of postage stamp issues, U. 8. Post Office Depart- ment, died at his residence, 3737 Joce- lyn street, Chevy Chase, yesterday. Death was attributed to acute indige tlon. Mr. Mount previously served as a Government philatelic agent and was widely known among stamp_collectors throughout the country. Coming to this city about 1901, Mr. Mount was employed in the City Post Office, where he was wholesale stamp salesman for many vears. He was transferred to the United States Post Office Depart- ment in 1921. He was a member of the Chevy Chase Lodge of Masons, the Loyl Order of Moose and & member of the Temple Masonic Club of the Post Of- fice Department Funeral services were conducted at the residence this afternoon at 1:30 Clyde J. By the Associated Press. CHICAGO, February 17.—Residents of the little settlement of Aslip, near Chicago, vesterday obtained permis- ston to hold an election to incorporate the village, but continued last night to mount guard over a section of land to prevent any burials there Residents became incensed recently when it was reported that a plot of ground in the midst of the settiement was to be used as a cometery and that the body of a negro was to be buried there to establish the plot as a ceme- tery. They mounted armed guard to pre- vent the burial, which has not been attempted, and at the same time asked to hold an election to incorporate so they may regulate their cemeterfes without fore, wrms.
