REV.F. E SEYMOUR 10 GIVE LECTURES Course Planned as Follow-Up Feature of Bishops’ Cru- sade in Diocese. Frederick E. Seymour, educa: tional secretary of the Eplscop: Church in the dlocese of Pennsy vania, has been chosen as the leader for a_course of lectures on “Christian | Worship and the Prayer Book,” which | will be delivered in the new parish | hall of St. Mark's Church, A street east of Third street southeast, beginning Monday evening at § o'clock. This course is a contribution by the department of religious educa- tion of the dlocese of Washington to the “follow-up” feature of the bishops’ crusade. Several years ago the mational de- partment of religious edueation of the Episcopal Church organized the Na- tional Accredited Teachers’ Associa- tion and arranged a series of courses as requisites for membership in the sation. Persons who complete -cified courses in teacher train- ing are eligible to membership in the third class of the associaton. To ad- vance from the third to the second olass it is neces: to complete four more courses, some of which are re- quired and some elective. The successful completion of 12 ooursies of the approved curriculum he member to a diploma from the association. Three persons in the dlocese of Washington now hold diplomas, Mrs. Enoch M. Thompson, ,Miss Anna H. Lander and Mrs. W, Bowen. The courre of lectures to be delivered by Rev. Mr. Seymouris one of those admitted to the third class of the National Accradited Teachers’ Association. Rev. Mr. Seymour was born in Eng- land, but attended the Philadelphia Divinity School, where he graduated in 1907. Much of his ministry has been spent In New England and from 1911 to 1917 he was engaged in the work of religious education in the diocese of Rhode Island.
