Benjamin Louis Perkins, 48 years old, assistant inspector of market ex- hibits, Department of Agriculture, died suddenly yesterday at his resi- dence, 1618 S street. He was a native of Hinton, W. Va.. and had been in the Government employ in_Washing- ton for the past nine years. Previ- ously he had been court stenographer at_Parkersburg, Va., for 11 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maud M. McCreery Perkins; a son, Edward M. Perkins; his mother, Mrs. H. L. Perkins of Wheeling, W. Va.; three brothers, R. L. Perkins of Wheeling, F. W.
