LOS ANGELES, August 25— Naval observers declared today that complete safety of airplane travel has been assured for the near future the result of the test made here terday in which a giant parachute brought a plane and pilot safely to earth from an altitude of 2,500 feet. ‘The ship was -lowered from the | skies after the engine had been killed |and made a “pancake landing.” A part of the under-carriage Wwas broken and a propellor blade was snapped.
