Dr. Ballou, superintendent of | schools, has written a letter to the parents of pre-school age children which will be distributed to the par- ents of the children who will enter the first grade next September through the supervising principal of each division. Each of these letters will contain a pre-school examina- tion blank on one side of which ques- tions concerning the child’s physical condition are to be checked by a doctor and on the other side ques- tions on habits, such as sleep, exer cise, food, personality traits, ete., are to be checked by the parents.
