Most of the first three weeks of the trial were spent in probing the con duct of Wyoming ranches which are a part of the Leiter cstate. Yesterday the plalntiffs’ presentation of evidence | deived into the administration of gouthern Illinois coal mines which the founder of the Leiter fortune left to his hetrs, hut .which, under a pro vision of the will, were sold by the estate to*Joseph two years ago. Mr. .Warr was on the stand yester day and complainant counsel kept him buried all day in the ledgers of the Ziegler company, explaining trans- actions of the coal mines during their operation by the estate which they call questionable. The principal line of evidence de- veloped from Mr. Wari's testimony dwelt upon the leasing by the Ziegler company to the Bell & Zoller Co. of 1,300 acres of mining land. M. Warr, ‘secretary or treasurer of the comgany from the time of its incor- poration, 22 years ago, was nnahle to locate in the minutes any records the making of the leaxe in 1910, or renewals in 1912 and 1213, ife auestioned, amid manv hicker. < hy opposfing counsel, as to why the minites showed no authorization or. approval of the leases, but the only rebly eveked™ was that he “conldn’t_say” why the proeeedinc were not chfonicled, and that the ab- sence of records of the transactions from the'minutes was a situation for which he himself was responsible. | ts Births Reported The following hirthe have heen reported ;\"‘”V’I‘ Health Department in the last 24 Hubert 0. and Juapita 1/"" girl. giyet 9 ang Juasis Lomy, Sl and "Martha P_Sigmon, girl.
