H Tonge, manager of the terminal, Monday night at a musical evening under the auspices of the Terminal YoM A “This great rail- road terminal building.” he said, “is part of the extensive facilities which are required to care for the volume of senger traffic, haggage; mail and nandled daily by the railroads | the Union Station. Organized Federal employes were congratulated on the prospective suc cess of their efforts to obtain a lib- eralized retirement’ in an address bv Francis M. Savage, president of the Central Savings Bank, at a meet- ing of the Federal Emploves’ U'nlon, No. Monday night at Hitcheoek || Hall . Expressing his sympathy with the efforts of the employes to obtain hoth an increase. in the pension allowances and a lowering o optional ment age, Mr. Sav sald this was necessary to keep iable employes in the Federal service and to reduce what he sald was the tremendous cost of the annual turnover in the service.
