The widening, it is estimated, will cost approximately $33,500. The bill carries an authorization for an appro- priation to pay for the land which would be condemned. Attempts to se- cure the additional width by dedica- tion have been unsuccessful. A strip of land 30 feet wide on the south side of Harvard street between Ranier and Argonne places already has been acquired.
