GIRL SCOUTS | The Girl Scouts of Washington felt one of the greatest thrills of their 1ives on Saturday, November 7, when they were called upon to form a “guard of honor” and welcomed the President snd Mrs. Coolidge to the 'l Scout “Little House,” on New York avenue. Scouts Lucille Weber and Margaret Strong and Scout Leona Baldwin of Vermont acted as hostesses and welcomed the distin- guished guests to the “Little House," where a group of future homemakers served a genuine old-fashioned Ver- mont dinner, including turkey all the rest which goes with it. The entire dinner was prepared and served Ly the girls themselves in a simple and delightful manner. After the din when Pi and Mrs. Coolidge and their chatted in the library sident asked to see the co ntrary to general rules, the cooks were pre- sented to the guest of honor. - After than! v ¢ for the lovely | flowers 5 sent them, clearing up. resident guests the They th Ang a4 SOng for Mrs. Bowman, the hostess of the “Little House,” who had stood by as a friend a time of n The “Litie House” again open | 10 visi v from 9 am. to 4 pm, The chief a ion at the house these days seems to be the dining room ind the chair in which the President =af 1 he Girl Scout party held by Troop , captain, was held at invalid member of every one enjoyed Seribe, Rita !l\]mxl\ 1s to the home the troop, it heaps 12 entertained its and friends at the first birth anniversary, with Miss Adah The ceremony of laws was presented very fter which a number of individua tunts and game was refreshments. drive, and ar to attend the d Mrs. " The present at Calvary Sunday. when u e will be reserved for the followed Bagby tol troop is to he 20 held its regular and Park A motion piet he pupils ol and the this a busines: meeting mgregational of the Iaton 1.
