MEXICO CITY, July 30.—Well in- formed circles say that announcement of a resumption of Mexico's foreign made soon, simultaneous with an an- nouncement of the abrogation of the Lamont-De la Huerta debt funding |agreement. The new arrangement as described in these circles eliminates the dfbts of the Mexico City Rallways and the “Caja de * Prestamos” (loan bank), which will elther be redeemed or treated independently from the gen eral debt. It is said that the 10 per cent tax on the gross receipts of the National Railways, which in 18 months has amounted to more than 15,000,000 pesos (about $7,500,000) play an important role in the se; ate arrangement covering the railway item. The municipality of Mexico City will elther lose its autonomy or the federal government will take charge debt as a guarantee. The “Caja de Prestamos” is to sell half of its prop- ertles, valued at 25,000,000 pesos, to pay the principal of its debt, while the interest ig to be paid with profits xtalr(‘ruiflg from its remaining proper- es. Alberto J. Pani, secretary of the Mexican treasury, recently issued a |- statement denying 'an announcement attributed to him that the treasury contemplated abrogation on JAugust 1 of Lamont-De la Huerta agreement for payment of outstanding debts of Mex- ico. What he did say, he pointed out, was that negotiations were in prog- ress between the Mexican government and international bankers with a view to resuming debt payments in a_way that would be satfSfactory to all the parties. The Mexico City newspaper El Uni- versal. several days ago, reporting that the government was seeking a revision of the debt agreement, said Unless You Are An Ex-Army or Navy Officer You meed not apply to the address below for a $10.000 per year position as a real estate salesman with an established firm oftering several rows of new homes in de- sirable locations at easily salable prices.
