Years ago the only way to get this mix- ture was to make it at home, which is mussy and trou- blesome. Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for “W. yethi Sage and Sulphur Compound.” You will get a large bottle of this old-time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients, at very little cost. Every- | body uses this preparation now, be- cause no onec can possibly tell that you darkened your hair, as it does it so naturally and evenly. You dampen a sponge or soft brush with |it and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning the gray hair disap- pears, and after another application or two, your hair becomes beauti- fully dark, thick and glossy and you look years younger. Opponents of the proposed equal rights amendment to the Constitu- tion, designed to remove legal dis- abilitles against wonien under State laws, were given an opportunity to present argument at hearings on the amendment today before the House judiciary committee. Advocates were heard by the committee yesterday. The opposition forces on hand to- day represented a dozen national organizations and women unionfsts affiliated with the can Federation of Labor, who belleve the amendment would léad to i\l\r invalida ny existing so- clal and labor laws designed for the | protection of women. Specific meas- | ures to remove existing disabilities rather than a blanket constitutional law, as proposed, was viewed as the best course to meet the situation. Foe to Meaxure Heard.
